Why Our Wagyu Beef is so different

Our Wagyu

Exclusively available on this website, our Wagyu stands apart. While we tend to various types of beef for distribution, our Wagyu is distinct. Each year, only a select few Wagyu cattle are raised. Previously reserved for family and a select circle, we now offer it to discerning palates. With pride, we assert that the taste and quality of our Wagyu Beef rank among the finest globally, if not unparalleled.

How we Dry Age our beef

After the beef is harvested it goes through a dry aging process. The carcass is hung in a cold, airy environment for at least 10 days (optimal period). This controlled environment activates enzymes which intensifies the meat's natural flavors and texture.

Quality

Prepare for a memorable culinary journey that will tantalize your taste buds. At our establishment, we take immense pride in consistently delivering top-quality fare. Indulge in our tender beef, bursting with flavor and juiciness, ensuring a "melt-in-your-mouth" experience that you won't soon forget.

Fruit and Vegetable Fed

Savor the health benefits of our Wagyu beef, nourished by a superior diet. We feed our cattle unsold produce from Virginia grocery stores, ensuring they receive a rich blend of fruits and vegetables packed with essential nutrients. This sustainable approach not only reduces food waste but also promotes the well-being of our cattle. Enjoy beef that's not only delicious but also brimming with the goodness of nature's bounty.

Diet

Our cattle spend a majority of their life eating grass. However, the last 200 days before harvest we transition them onto a balanced, grain concentrated diet. The feed ration consists of corn silage, high moisture corn, forage, distillers, and produce. Ultimately, feeding a grain concentrated diet enables the animal to be harvested with a higher percentage of marbling more efficiently.

Animal Welfare

At Kibler Steaks, animal welfare stands as our utmost priority. Every day, our team conducts thorough evaluations to ensure the health and comfort of each animal. With round-the-clock access to feed and water, our cattle thrive in a low-stress environment.

To maintain the cold temperature of your beef during transportation, we employ specialized, eco-friendly insulation along with dry ice. While the dry ice will naturally sublimate during transit, if any remains upon arrival, please refrain from touching it directly with your bare hands due to its extreme coldness. We suggest keeping it in the box within a ventilated space to facilitate its safe evaporation. Should you need to handle the dry ice, it’s advisable to use tongs to prevent skin contact.

The dry ice will naturally sublimate throughout the delivery process. Consequently, you may receive a package with dry ice one month and without it the next. As long as your beef feels cold to the touch upon arrival, rest assured that the dry ice has effectively maintained its temperature.

If your beef feels cold to the touch, it’s safe to store it in your freezer or refrigerator, even if it appears partially thawed. Vacuum-sealing minimizes exposure to oxygen, ensuring that your beef can be stored safely without the risk of spoilage for extended periods, even if it has partially thawed during transit. However, if your order is NOT cold to the touch upon arrival, please contact us at kiblersteaks@yahoo.com. It’s not advisable to consume beef that arrives at room temperature.

While it’s not mandatory for you to be present for the delivery of your order, we strongly advise bringing your box indoors promptly upon arrival. This is when your package is most susceptible to external elements. Although we utilize specialized materials to safeguard your beef, we recommend not leaving your order outside for more than 3–5 hours post-delivery. Utilize your tracking information to plan accordingly, and if you’re unavailable, consider asking a neighbor or friend to bring it inside for you.
